Danceville U.S.A. is a ballroom dance studio located in one of the trendiest neighborhoods in Columbus, Ohio---The Short North Arts District. The studio opened in January of 2014 under the artistic direction of U.S. Professional Latin Champion and world-renowned choreographer, Tony Meredith.
Danceville, U.S.A. is a LIVE ART installation! The studio provides seven certified professional instructors teaching a variety of dances including Waltz, Tango, Foxtrot, Merengue, Swing, Salsa, Cha Cha and more. We utilize a 3-way method of learning for our students, including private lessons, group classes and practice parties. The studio also brings current and former champions to the ballroom once a month to guest instruct and/or perform.
Danceville, U.S.A. is in the business of enriching people's lives; of teaching non-dancers how to dance and express themselves. Danceville, U.S.A. actualized from the belief that dancing changes lives; hatched from an excitement to bring a little novelty and swagger into what, we believe, has become a vapid and somewhat copy-cat society.
Danceville was generated by a strong desire to be right—to prove every person wrong who gloats about their “two left feet,” and their inability to learn or shake their money maker; to the cats who reference the quip, “you can’t teach an old dog new tricks.” Well, we can. And we do. Every day. And that’s all we ask of you. It’s all we ever ask of anyone: for an opportunity—to call your bluff—to prove to you that you can dance; that you’re not fully living if you’re not dancing.
